STUDENTS' WELFARE

The office of the Dean, Students' welfare has started functioning from the 1997-98 session. It has monitored the activities of the student body within the University, acted as a link between the administration and the students, and promoted co-curricular activities of the students. The Executive Committee of the Students Council for 1999-2000 Vice President : Debashis Bhowmik General Secretary : Satadal Acharyaa Astt. Gen. Secretaries : Utpal Sen & Anik Bhattacharjee Secretary Sports : Pritam Gupta Secretary Cultural : Amit Kumar Dutta Secretary Literary : prodush Kiron Nath The Executive committee was elected in November , 1999 and would continue to function till the next council is elected. Total number of members was 34 and who all were voters in the election. Youth Parliament The University arranges for Youth Parliament every year under the sponsorship of the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs, New Delhi.
