DEPARTMENT OF FINE ARTS

Established : July 1996

Research and Development Activities : The Assam University is the first among the North-Eastern Universities to offer Under-graduate and Post-graduate courses in various streams of Fine Arts. This course encourages professionalism so that the students may find employment opportunities. The department has taken initiative and conducted demonstration on traditional pottery and Manipuri weaving. The department plans to have its own museum and archives.
